LPSC is now two years old!  With the help of the online LPS collecting community, it has grown tremendously over the past couple of years.  So many collectors have generously contributed their images and knowledge - I want to thank all of them for their amazing support, and I would also like to mention unicorn4484 and Leah in particular, who have given me access to countless collection photos.  Also, I want to thank all of LPSC's visitors, who have provided so much encouragement for this project - I hope that LPSC is bringing back fond childhood memories and is helping you with your collections. :)  Hugs to everyone, and have a warm, beautiful holiday season!

I think I can safely promise that this is the last bit of renaming/reorganizing that I will do for the ID Reference! ;)  The "Series" menu has been renamed the "Assortment" menu - after looking through various Kenner toy catalogs and seeing that they always referred to the Ready to Go Pets, Pet Presents, etc. as "Assortments", I decided I should follow suit and do the same here.  Many apologies for any confusion this causes...like I said, I'm going to stop tinkering!

» ID Reference
The ID Reference has been reorganized a bit, and hopefully that won't make things too confusing. ;)  I've renamed a few terms to make the organization of the LPS toy line a bit clearer and to give you more options for identifying pets/sets...I'm now referring to larger groupings of sets within the LPS toy line as "Collections" (which I previously called "Assortment") - i.e., the Zoo Collection, Country Fun Pets Collection, etc.  I'm using the term "Assortment" to identify smaller groups of sets that are within a Collection (I previously referred to these smaller groups as "Sub-Assortment") - i.e., the Newborn Families Assortment within the Country Fun Pets Collection.  Then there are individual Sets within each Assortment. 

I've accordingly added a Sort by Assortment menu, which lists all of the various LPS Assortment (Pet Presents, Ready to Go Pets, etc.) in alphabetical order, and I've renamed the old Assortment menu "Sort by Collection".  Is that confusing enough?? ;)  Explanations of the sorting method for each menu are on the main ID Reference page.  Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments!

» New layout for Spring 2012 is up!  
In an effort to make LPSC easier to use for more people, I've removed the inline-frame that was previously used for navigating the ID pages.  Also, the Jump 'n Splash Frogs are welcoming the spring season in this new design!  It's a little early, but the sun is out, and I'm ready for spring. :)

» ID Reference 
The ID reference guide has been moved to its own section and has gone through some remodeling...besides adding two new sorting options for navigation (more on that below), I've reformatted all of the information sections to make them easier to read.  Also, credits for photos, etc. are now listed at the bottom of each set's information rather than directly underneath every photo.

» ID Reference / Sort by Species
This is a new menu for identifying your pets and sets!  All of the Littlest Pet Shop sets have been organized according to the species of animals in each set.  

» ID Reference / Visual ID
Yet another new menu to aid in set identification.  The Visual ID guide features thumbnail photos of all of the LPS sets, sorted by species.  If you have a particular pet and aren't sure what year it was released, what Assortment it was in, or what the name of its set was, this is a great way to identify it.

Courtesy of Strawberry Fair, frontcard and backcard photos have been added for all four Sparkling Ponies.
